While a substantial part of the data comes from previous breaches, the large amount of sensitive information is causing significant concern. The database could be exploited by cybercriminal and we urge you to take action if you hold any accounts on the following platforms.

Large companies affected:

  • Twitter

How Can You Take Action?

  1. Update passwords for the websites that were impacted. Make sure you change your passwords regularly, across all accounts. Your passwords should be strong and not easy to guess.
  2. We’re always stressing the importance of two-factor authentication to avoid any sort of unauthorised access. Implementing two-factor authentication adds an extra layer of security by requiring users to provide a second form of verification, in addition to their passwords.
